Evaluation of the MCA Corporate Mentoring Program
An analysis of the MCA Corporate Mentoring Program conducted by The Conservation Company, an independent
consulting firm, determined that the mentoring program was "strong." Major findings of the report included the following:
Mentee Findings
Compared with non-mentees at the high school, mentees are:
Less academically detached
Exhibit stronger academic/work perseverance
Perceive themselves as performing better academically
Improve their self confidence in the classroom
More strongly believe that they can attend college or other post-secondary institutions
Mentor Findings
78% of mentors felt that their participation strengthened their pride in the major Wall Street investment bank.
Mentors felt "very positive" about the program, and felt that the "program was well structured, and the events were well planned."
Mentors felt very positive about working for the major Wall Street investment bank, as a result of their participation in mentoring
83% of respondents believed more strongly that the Wall Street investment bank is a socially responsible company
